Meet Our Beacon Therapy Team
Bryan Teuscher, LCSW
Clinic Director
Specialties: Trauma and PTSD, Anxiety and Grief.
I have had the joy of connecting with and helping others since I was little, and I think that is what prompted me to go into the mental health field (well, that and because cardigans are my preferred business attire).

I’m a therapist who believes that healing starts with being seen and heard—without judgment. As an Asian therapist, I bring both cultural awareness and compassion to the space we share. Whether you're navigating anxiety, identity, relationships, or life transitions, my goal is to create a safe place where we can explore things deeply and honestly, at your own pace.
Outside of sessions, you’ll often find me exploring cozy coffee shops, spending time with my family, or out walking with my two goldendoodles. I’ve also been learning how to garden—it’s a humbling reminder that growth takes time, care, and patience.
I know that reaching out can be the hardest step, and I want you to know you don’t have to do this alone. I’m honored to walk alongside you on your healing journey, one step at a time.

Specialties: Trauma and PTSD, Grief and Domestic Violence
At times we all find ourselves in situations that we think no one else will understand. It’s easy to self-sabotage and self-criticize when you have no one to talk to. We often find ourselves putting up barriers instead of boundaries and unintentionally blocking those that want to help us. Therapy allows us to self-reflect, feel empowered, and increase our happiness.

Therapist
Specialties: Life transitions, dementia, anxiety, trauma, aging
Life is full of transitions. Some are expected, while others are sudden, and navigating them can be overwhelming. Whether you're facing a faith shift, gender transition, relationship change, grief, or end-of-life concerns, therapy can offer grounding and support.
As a Certified Social Worker (CSW) with a background in psychology and gerontology, I bring years of experience in dementia care, hospice, and dementia education. This foundation shapes my compassionate, person-centered approach to change and loss.
Sarah Neal, CSW
Therapist
Specialties: Individuals and Families.
I was born and raised in Kentucky until I moved to Utah in 2019 for school. I am a recent graduate from the University of Utah and have spent the last two years working with adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma. I love going to the beach and country concerts, but I often choose to spend my time reading a book.
I hope to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you feel safe to share where you’re at and what you need. Together, we can learn more about your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, effective coping skills, and building self-esteem. Through the use of a trauma-focused lens, we can learn what works best for you.
I’m excited to see the growth this journey will bring!

Specialties: Aging, Seniors, Grief
Navigating the nuances of aging can be challenging, not only for the individual, but for their families and caregivers as well. This can be a time of significant change and adaptation for everyone. As someone who has been a caregiver for our elderly parents for some time and was blessed to care for our dad in hospice, I am empathetic to the fear and apprehension that can accompany these life changes that occur as we age. Grief can also be a common part of the experience and is not limited to when our loved ones pass on. Individuals who are aging often mourn themselves as they lose their independence and function.

I have been a licensed clinical social worker and substance use counselor for nearly 15 years, with a career dedicated to helping people through transitions, loss, and personal change. As a person in long-term recovery myself, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to my work, allowing me to connect with authenticity and empathy.
In my work with older adults, I focus on supporting emotional health around grief, depression, anxiety, and the challenges of aging. My approach is warm, calm, and collaborative, drawing on evidence-based methods such as cognitive-behavioral strategies, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness practices. I emphasize conversation, reflection, and practical coping skills that honor the wisdom of each individual while helping them find comfort, connection, and dignity in later life.
