Yes, I provide a “Good Faith Estimate” in accordance with federal law for individuals who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance. Under federal law, you have the following rights:
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

Sessions run for 53 minutes. Typically, we spend the beginning of each session following up on your work during the week based on the previous session. We’ll review what made your successes possible or discuss things you want to tweak if you struggled during the week.
The bulk of our session will focus on how you can take the next step toward one of the goals we identified together in the first session.
Then, we’ll spend the last couple of minutes reviewing the main points from our discussion and identifying what skills/activities you want to incorporate into your routine in the coming week.
Absolutely!! While we help provide direction and insight into the changes you need to make to find happiness, they are YOUR changes. While this puts responsibility in your court, it also means that you can change and maintain the life you want in the long term.
We typically pull from Cognitive Behavioral principles and Mindfulness-based stress management as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills to build emotion regulation and improve communication. When engaging with trauma (whether a single event or collective negative experiences), we use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
